Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights took on No. 24 Montana Tech. The Lights fell to Montana Tech 54-9. Northern tallied 258 yards of total offense (206 passing and 52 rushing), while Orediggers accounted for 588, of which 355 yards were on the ground. The Orediggers came out of the game with three sacks and one forced fumble. The Lights had two sacks and one forced fumble. Â Â

Northern quarterback
Tommy Wilson went 24 for 44 through the air for 206 yards and rushed for one touchdown.
Jett Robertson rushed for a total of 55 yards on 13 attempts.
Bryce Bumgardner received five catches with a total yardage of 53, as Marvin William had seven catches for 52 yards. Northern's defense was led by
Devariej Criss who accounted for eight tackles (six solo and two assistant) with one forced fumble, while
Jake Norby tallied six tackles.
Montana Tech was led by quarterback Cole Hauptman with completing 16 passes with 207 yards, as he had three touchdowns. Jed Fike carried the ball for 127 total yards on 19 attempts with one touchdown. Trevor Hoffman received five catches for 72 yards and added one touchdown. The Orediggers defense was led by Jacob Clarke with nine total tackles (four solo and five assisted), also forcing one fumble. Â
