Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights played No. 24 University of Montana Western on Saturday afternoon in Dillon, Montana. The Lights lost to the Bulldogs 13-59. Northern tallied 310 yards of total offense (128 passing and 182 rushing), while the Bulldogs accounted for 540, of which 175 yards were on the ground. There were four interceptions thrown and three sacks.

Northern quarterback
Tre' Long went 13 for 28 through the air for 106 yards and rushed for one touchdown.Â
Jett Robertson caught two passes for 32 yards, while rushing 17 times for 80 yards. Â
Hunter Riley carried the ball two times for 40 yards and accounted for eight tackles. Northern's defense was led by
Jaren Maki who accounted for 11 total tackles (10 solo). Â
Montana Western quarterback Jon Jund completed 21 of 35 passes for 330 yards and six touchdowns. Jon also tan the ball 10 times with 88 yards. Running back JD Ferris carried the ball eight times for 32 yards. Walker McKitrick led the receivers with seven catches for 133 yards with three touchdown, as Nate Simkins caught seven passes for 131 yards and three touchdowns. The defense was led by Jason Ferris who each had 17 tackles and one forced fumble. Kameron Rauser had two interceptions and two break-ups. Carson Hritsco and Jackson Thompson each had one sack.
The Lights so Far:
The Lights fall to 1-7 on the season (0-7 Frontier). Montana Western move to 5-2 in conference.
