The MSU-Northern No. 18 Lights wrestling traveled to Spokane, Washington to compete in the Spokane Open. The Lights took fourth with 114 points.

No. 11 Robert Pair- 125 – Robert had a first round bye. In his second round, he beat Kaleo Gambala by a Fall 1:52. Pair lost in his third round by Andres Lucero by a TF 17-2. He won in his first consolation round against Kaleb Frank by a Dec. 3-1. He lost in the next round to Flixzl Reyes by a Fall 3:57.

Kaleb Frank-125- Kaleb had a bye his first round. He lost in the second round against Eddie Frank with a Maj. 11-2. He had a first round bye in the consolation round. He won his second round in the consolation round by Connor Finch by injury. The next round he lost against Rob Pair with a Dec 3-1.

No. 12 Landon Bailey- 133 – Fourth Place - Landon had a first round bye. In his next match, Landon won Diego Nunez by an Inj. 3:09. Landon beat his next opponent Aso Palani by a Dec. 7-5. He lost in the semifinals against Jason Shaner by a Dec. 7-4. In his last round, he lost to Austin Wallace-Lister by a Dec. 11-4.

Nick Kunz- 133 – Nick had a bye his first round. Nick beat his first opponent by a Dec. 3-2, which was Christian Balagso. He lost his third round by a Fall 3:42 against Hunter Sparks. Nick lost in his first consolation round by Monte Zufelt by a Fall :49.

Carl Cronin- 133- Carl had a Bye his first round. In his second round, he won to Trevor Downey by a Fall 2:52. In the third round, Carl lost to Austin Wallace-Lister by a Maj. 18-8. Carl lost in his first consolation round to Monte Zufelt by a Maj. 18-8.

Clayton Currier- 141 – Second Place - Clayton beat his first opponent against Austin Cleland by a Fall 1:12. In his second round, he beat Randy McDonald by a Dec. 6-2. Clayton won in the simifinals against Black McNall by a Fall 1:59. Clayton lost in the finals against Chris Mesa.

Lane Paulson- 149- Fourth Place - Lane beat his first match against Jeramias Sandoval by a Fall 3:20. In his second round, he beat Tyan Harris by a Fall 1:39. The next round he won against Dayton Evans by a Fall 4:51. He lost in the simifianls against Dylan Veis by a Dec. 9-4.

Dylan Veis- 149- Second Place - Dylan had a first round bye. Dylan beat his opponent in his second round, which was Daniel Rodriguez by a Dec 3-1. He won his third round to Gavin Gies by a Dec. 4-1. Dylan beat Lane Paulson in the semifinals by a Dec. 9-4. In the finals, Dylan lost in a Dec. 3-2 against Alex Rubio.

Brent Evans – 149 – Evans had a first round bye. In his second round he lost to Alex Rubio by a Dec. 9-8. He won in his first consolation round to Joey Moody by a Maj. 15-2. In the next round, he beat Jared Brant by a SV-1 6-4. He beat Dayton Evans by a Fall 4:27. The next round he lost to Zachery Sias by a SV-1 7-5.

Caden Hilliard- 157- Caden lost in his first round to Levi Oostra by a Fall 6:08. He lost in his second round to Jeremy Talavera by a Dec. 6-2. Caden won his first round in consolation against Dj Hunter by a Fall 4:29. He won his next round against Garrett Russell by a Fall 4:54. He lost his next round by a Maj 9-1 against Brent Hodgson.

Trey Meyer- 165- Meyer beat his first opponent by a Fall 6:00 against Matthew Bartlett. He lost in his second round against Navarro Nanpuya by a Dec. 9-6. Meyer lost in the consolation round to Isaac Casey by a FF.

Isaac Casey- 165- Casey lost in his first round against Nick Peterson by a Maj. 12-2. In his first match in the consolation round, he beat Micah Arakwa by a Dec. 7-2. In the next round, he won by FF against Trey Meyers. He lost the next match against Zachary Stratton by a TF 15-0.

Chase Short- 174- Fourth Place- Chase had a bye in the first round. He lost in the next match against Dax Bennett by a Dec. 8-7. He won in his first consolation round against Eward Schmelzer by a Fall 2:44.  His next match he beat Max Gins by a TF 22-7. He come back to beat Dax Bennett by a Dec. 8-4. He lost in the final match against Keegan Mulhill by a Dec. 13-8.

Cody Golding- 184- Cody won in his first round against Jake Cassaday by a Dec 9-7. In the second round, Cody lost against Conner Pattison by a Maj 13-3. Cody lost his first round in the consolation round against Doug Peyser by a TF 16-0.

Isaac Bartel- 197- First Place- Isaac's first opponent was Hunter Hillard, which he beat by a Fall 2:04. His second round, he beat Mike Garrison by a Fall :53. Isaac beat Ryan Redford by a TF 18-1. Isaac beat Ben Hughes in the semifinals by a Maj 9-1. In the finals, Isaac beat John Hensley by a Dec. 9-4.

Rylan Moldenhauer- 285- Rylan lost in his first match against Jj Perezby a Fall 2:27. His next round, he won his first round in the consolation against Jack Farley by a Dec 8-6. He won his next round against Juan Valitalo by a Fall 2:37. He lost in the next round against Adam Lamb by a Dec. 3-2.
