Story of the Game:
The No. 17 Lights played on Thursday night in a Frontier Conference matchup against Montana Western in Havre, Mont. The Lights beat Montana Western 67-65. The Lights led in the first half 30-23.  Northern increased the lead by 13 points with 12:24 left in the game. The Bulldogs never made it easy, as they came back within one point. The Lights made free throws down the stretch to win the game.
 
Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by Kavon Bey, who had 17 points and seven rebounds. Mascio McCadney added 12 points and five rebounds. Adam Huse had five assists. Gio Jackson added 13 points. Cedric Crutchfield led in rebounds with 11.
 
Montana Western was led by Cedric Boone, who had 21 points going 10-25 from the field. James Jones added 20 points and five rebounds. Connor Burkhart led the Bulldogs in rebounds with eight.
 
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 38.3, 33.3 from the arc, and 42.8 percent from the free throw line.
 
The Bulldogs shot 39.3 percentage from the field, 18.1 percent from the 3-point line, and 42 from the free throw.

The Lights move to 5-0 in the overall season and 1-0 in the Frontier Conference.
