Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights played No. 25 University of Montana Western on Saturday afternoon in Havre, Montana. The Lights lose to the Bulldogs 38-13. Northern tallied 313 yards of total offense (245 passing and 86 rushing), while the Bulldogs accounted for 438, of which 63 yards were on the ground. Montana Western had two interceptions and seven break-ups. Northern had three interceptions and five break-ups.

Northern quarterback
Brenden Medina went 22 for 48 through the air for 245 yards and rushed for two touchdowns. Marvin Williams Jr. caught five passes for 58 yards, while Damari Cual-Davis also had five catches for 47 yards.Â
Cameron Taylor carried the ball 13 times for 51 yards. Northern's defense was led by
Jaren Maki who accounted for 12 total tackles (four solo).
Shadarius Jenkins added nine tackles.
Hunter Riley had two interceptions and two break ups, as
Ostin Welch had one interception.
University of Montana Western quarterback Jon Jund completed 15 of 27 passes for 355 yards and three touchdowns. Running back Kylar Prante carried the ball 10 times for 44 yards. Trey Mounts led the receivers with five catches for 160 yards with two touchdowns. The defense was led by Joe Caicedo who each had nine tackles. Dylan Pope added seven tackles and one sack, as Mitch Orme and Daniel Mousso each had one interception. Â

The Lights drop to 1-2 on the season (0-2 Frontier). Montana Western moves to 2-0 in the Frontier Conference.

The Lights will head to Helena next weekend for a matchup with Carroll College. Kickoff is set for 2 p.m. Saturday.
