Skylights Volleyball Drop in Three Against Carroll College

Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team played in a Frontier Conference matchup against Carroll College on Saturday night. The MSU-Northern Skylights lost in three sets (20-25, 19-25, and 21-25).

In the first set, the Skylights took the lead until Carroll went on a 6-0 to take the lead. Northern was never able to catch up. The Skylights started strong in the second set. They went on a 7-2 at the beginning of the game. The Saints came back with an 8-1 run to take the lead. Carroll finished the set on a 5-0 run to finish the set. The third set was anyone's game, but Carroll was able to put together a couple runs to take it.

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights attack was led by Elissa Lind, who tallied 13 kills with eight digs. Rylee Burmester had nine kills and had 14 digs. Emily Feller led the team in assists with 35.

The Saints were led by Lexi Mikkelson, who had 15 kills hitting .256 percent. Taelyr Krantz added 12 kills. Ali Williams led the team with 32 assists in the match. Mara Lynch led the team with 20 digs.

Stats of the Match:
MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .150 on the day, while the Saints hit .288. The Skylights had 37 assists, as Carroll had 40. Northern also had 58 digs to Carroll's 63.
