Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights played Southern Oregon University on Saturday afternoon in Eugena, Oregon. The Lights lost to the raiders 7-42. Northern tallied 234 yards of total offense (153 passing and 81 rushing), while the Raiders accounted for 494, of which 148 yards were on the ground. There were five sacks in the game and one forced fumble.

Kaymen Cureton went 9 for 23 through the air for 117 yards and rushed for one touchdown.Â
Jake Horner caught four passes for 51 yards, whileÂ
Tyrese Rios had three catches for 43 yards.
Izayah Boss carried the ball 12 times for 30 yards. Northern's defense was led by
Hunter Riley,
Blake Lien, and
Dylan Wampler, who each accounted for 10 total tackles.
Joe Fehr added one sack on the night, while
Isaiah Paul had one forces fumble.
Southern Oregon quarterback Matt Struck completed 22 of 34 passes for 326 yards and five touchdowns. Running back Massey carried the ball 12 times for 61 yards. Bryce Goggin led the receivers with nine catches for 128 yards with two touchdowns. The defense was led by Ty Glymbik with eight total tackles. Tua Laolagi added a sack, as well as Sanchez and Holmes.

The Lights will have a bye this week and will head to Dillon on September 18 for a Frontier Conference matchup with Montana Western. Kickoff is set for 1 p.m. Saturday.
