Lights Wrestling Take Second At Spokane Open

125-Tanner Cook won his first match with a major decision 11-3 against Thomas Turner from Pacific University. Cook won his second match against Donnie Krissak by a fall 6:43. His third match was his toughest match against 23 ranked Luciano Fasulo where he won by a close decision 3-2. In the Championship round, he beat Elijah Cater by a Tech Fall 24-8 to take First Place.

125-Leo Anderson won his first match against Jake Kuka from North Idaho by a decision 5-0. Anderson lost his second match against Deven Altenburg with a decision 4-0. He lost in his first consolation round to Thomas Turner by a Tech Fall 17-1.

133-Cooper Cook won his first match against Raul Ruiz by a Decision 11-4. Cook lost his next match to Zachary Lopez from North Idaho College by a close decision 7-5. In this first consolation round, he beat Tanner Ulrey by a Fall 2:16 to compete for the third place. Cook lost his next match by Zach Mauras by a Fall 6:43.

141-Colin Silverthorn came out hot, as he beat Lucus Paschia from Pacific University by a Tech Fall 17-2. Silverthorn won his second match with a Fall 1:17 against Hyum Futrelle from Washington State University. Silverthorn beat Kayle Bearson by a decision 9-3. He won his next match against Cole Cross from Eastern Oregon by a Decision 11-4. Silverthorn lost in the Championship round against Justin Rodriguez by a major decision 8-0.

149- Martin Wilkie pinned his first match against Ivan Acosta. He kept the momentum going, as he beat Gavin Stone from Washington State University by a Fall 4:23. Wilkie beat Micah Worthington from Linfield University by a Decision 10-6. Martin had to Medically forfeit the last three matches.

149-Georgino Moraga lost his first match Kanai Tapia from North Idaho by a major decision 11-0.  Moraga beat Luis Ramirez from Umpqua with a Fall 4:19 in his first round of consolation round. He lost his next match against Chad Muenzer from Eastern Oregon by a Fall 2:12.

157-Gavin McLean beat Zander Burnison from Providence by a Decision 9-2. He won his second match against Maverick McEwin by a Decision 5-2. McLean lost his next match against Ben Mitchell from North Idaho College by a Fall 5:41. He lost his next round to Vincent Cramer from Eastern Oregon by a Decision 8-1.

157-Connor Harris won his first match against Kyle Huard from Western Washington by a Tech fall 16-1. Harris lost his second game against Alex Newberry by a Fall 5:43. He lost his next match against Porter Craig by a Fall 6:04.

165-Cole Younger won his first match against Joey Calene from North Idaho College by a Decision 6-0. Younger lost his next match against Bridger Hall by a Decision 6-3. He lost his first round in the condolation round against Lance Van Hoose by a SV-1 4-3.

165-Devin Crawford beat Connor Larsen from North Idaho with a Major decision 15-5 in his first match. He won his next match against Andrew Saavedra by a Fall 2:12. Crawford beat Andres Gonzales by a SV-1 5-3 to make the Championship round. He lost the Championship round to Thor Michaelson by a decision 9-3 to take second place.

165- Zach Valdez won his first match against Lance Van Hoose from Linfield University by a Decision 11-6. He lost his next round to Andres Gonzales by a Fall 2:20. He won his first consolation round to Ezikiel McEwin by a Fall 5:00. He beat Carter Miethe with a decision 13-7. He lost his next one to Bridger Hall by a decision 9-5. Valdez lost his next match to Lance Van Hoose by a decision 13-9.

174-Cade Gubler won his first match with a pin against Francisco Endi from Pacific University. Gubler lost his next match against Abel Nava with a Major Decision 12-0. He won his first consolation round to Asaiah Kamplain by a Fall 3:27. He beat Josiah Green by a decision 8-5. He won his next match against Ethan Miller by a decision 7-3. He lost in the running for third place against Abel Nava by a decision 5-0.

174-Nakoda Siegel dominated his first match with a Fall :54 against Ian McAbee from Western Washington. He beat Josiah Green by a Tech Fall 16-1. He went on to beat Abel Nava with a decision 3-2. In the Championship round, they DFF.

174-Rylin Burns dominated his first match against Asaiah Kamplain from Clackamas Community College by a Fall :50. He won his next match by Kaden Krouse from a medical forfeit. He moved on to beat Ethan Miller by a Fall 6:47. In the Championship round, they DFF.

184-Austin Vanek won his first match with a Fall 1:18 against Jake Jeanneret from Washington State University. Vanek lost his next match to Alan Badley from Providence by a decision 8-6. He beat Reece White in his first consolation round by a decision 8-1. He goes on to beat David Darroch with a Fall :40. He wins his next match against Noah Poe-Hatten by a Fall 6:11. Vanek lost this next match to Tracis Waldner by a decision 9-7.

184- Reece White lost his first match against Sawyer Hobbs by a Fall 3:41. He won his first consolation round by a Fall 1:19. He lost his next match to Austin Vanek by a decision 8-1.

285-Shane Mattson lost his first match against Ethan DeRoche by a decision 7-3. He won his next match by a Medical Forfeit. He lost in his next match against Branden Pease by a major decision 12-2.

285-Rylan Moldenhauer won his first match against Leighton Jenen by a major decision 16-5. He goes on to beat William Christman in a tight decision 2-1. Moldenhauer lost his next match against Myles Norris in a major decision 12-4. He lost his next match to Darrian Hoobery by a decision 9-6.
