Lights Fall in Double Overtime to No. 12 Montana Tech

Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights lost to No. 12 Montana Tech 89-85 in double overtime on a Thursday night in Butte, Montana.  The Lights drop by 10 in the first half (47-37). The Lights shot 40 percent from the field and 43 percent from the three. However, Montana Tech shot an incredible 66 percent from the field and 50 percent from the three.

Northern went on a 9-2 run to cut the lead to one with 7:05 left in the game. Montana Tech battled back to push the lead to six. The Lights went on a 9-0 to take the lead by three with 1:27 left in the game. Ure went to the line and made both to tie the game with :32 second left. Both teams had a chance to score, but the game went into overtime.

Northern was able to controlled the overtime. Nelson went to the line and made one of two to take the lead by three with seven seconds left. Dixon hit a big three to tie the game to push the game into double overtime. The Orediggers were able to control the pace in double overtime to take the game.
 
Individual Stats:
The Lights were led by Jesse Keltner with 15 points going 7-10 from the field and adding seven rebounds. Immanuel Anderson went 6-6 from the field with 15 points. Zackry Martinez added 13 points going4-8 from the field. CJ Nelson led the team in rebounds with 11 and added 12 points.
 
The Orediggers were led by Caleb Bellach had 25 points going 10-21 from the field. Michael Ure had a double-double with 12 points and 12 rebounds. Bridger Larson added 15 points.

Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Lights shot a field goal percentage of 44, 32 percent from the arc, and 55 percent from the free throw line.
 
Montana Tech shot 47 percentage from the field, 27 percent from the 3-point line, and 65 percent from the free throw.
