Story of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights lost against Vanguard University with a score of 85-61 in Great Falls, Montana. The Skylights had a great start shooting 72 percent from the field and 57 percent from the three in the first quarter. Vanguard shot a good percent of 55 percent from the field, but had seven more shots than the Skylights outscoring them 23-21. They pushed the lead going into halftime 42-33. Vanguard held Northern to nine points in the third quarter. Vanguard won the fourth quarter by one to take the game.  
 
Individual Stats:
The Skylights were led by Rachel Van Blaricom, who went 100 percent from the field with 17 points and five rebounds. Ryley Kehr had 15 points going 6-9 from the field.   

The Lions were led by Melissa Akullu, who had a double-double with 29 points and 10 rebounds. Halle Si'I was just shy of a triple-double with 19 points, six assists, and nine rebounds.

The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 47, 45 percent from the arc, and 69 percent from the free throw line.
 
Vanguard University shot 45 percentage from the field, 32 percent from the 3-point line, and 68 percent from the free throw.
