Story of the Match:
The MSU-Northern Skylights volleyball team beat Mayville state University on Friday Morning in Valley City, North Dakota. The MSU-Northern Skylights won in three sets (25-22, 25-21, and 25-17).

The Skylights won their first match in a tight race. Mayville State took the lead early 14-8. Northern had a great second half to come back and take the lead to win their first set. They went on a 14-6 run to take it.

The Skylights went on a decent lead in the middle of the second set 15-8. Northern held on to that lead to the end of the set.  The third set was close throughout the game. Until the Skylights won on a 6-0 run to end the match.

Stars of the Match:
The Skylights were led by Josie Hasler who had 12 kills with a .333 percentage. Alana Graves added nine kills. Emily Feller led the team in assists with 20. Macee Murphy led the team in digs with 12.

The Comets were led by Elora Passa with nine kills, 17 assists, and eight digs. Samantha Passa led the team in digs with 11.

Stats of the Match:
The MSU-Northern had a hitting percentage of .291 on the day, while Mayville State hit .171. Northern also had 49 digs to the comets 47. The Skylights added six blocks and five aces.
