25‑18, 25‑27, 25‑22, 19‑25, 18‑16, showcasing a hard-fought battle that went the full five sets.
The Skylights jumped out early, taking the first set 25‑18, but Carroll responded with a 27‑25 second-set win, proving they wouldn't go down without a fight. Northern regained momentum in the third set 25‑22, only for Carroll to even the match at two sets apiece with a 25‑19 victory in the fourth. The decisive fifth set extended beyond the standard 15 points, with the Skylights finally pulling out an 18‑16 victory.
Northern's
Macee Selman was a standout performer, posting
24 kills and 22 digs, while teammate
Lexa Stock added
18 kills and a strong presence at the net.
Josie Hasler also contributed 10 kills in the effort, helping the Skylights maintain slightly higher attack efficiency in key moments.
