Montana State University-Northern head volleyball coach Jerry Wagner has announced the signing of Billings senior High School standout Addison Falls Down to join the Skylights program next year.
Coach Wagner said "I'm very excited to announce the signing of Addison Falls Down to MSU Northern and the Skylights Volleyball program. Â I was sold on Addison from the first time I saw her play in person. Â Her character, attitude, teamwork, work ethic and court instincts are the qualities that will allow her to be highly successful in any endeavor."
Falls Down is a 5-foot-6 setter from Billings, Montana. This season she led the Eastern AA Conference in assists per-set. In the last four years, Billings Senior took Third place twice and First Place once at State.
"As a setter, Addison has the remarkable ability to make the players around her better, getting her hitters in the right tactical situations to succeed. Â She is an outstanding leader with excellent communication skills and possesses the athleticism that allows her to compete at a high level, while demonstrating maturity and experience beyond her years ".
Her junior season, she was honored with Second-Team All-Conference. This year she was honored with First Team All-Conference and First Team All-State.
Addison is great in the classroom. She is in the National Honors Society and honored with Academic All-State in 2022, 2023, and 2024.
Coach Wagner continued "Addison has been well coached throughout her career, most recently by Head Coach Courtney Bad Bear at Billings Senior High School, who has put her on an excellent path to success. Â With well over a 1000 career assists, she was the Montana State High School Volleyball Class AA leader in Assists per set this past season and ranked 7
th in Digs per set.  Her ability to direct the offense and her tenacious defense align perfectly with what has been a staple of the Skylights program over the past several years."
When asked why she chose Northern she replied "I really liked the environment, both athletically and academically, and the overwhelming sense of community that I was met with. I'm so excited to play for a volleyball program that has a strong culture and high level of competitiveness. Getting the opportunity to play at the next level while pursuing a nursing degree is something I am beyond grateful for."
Coach Wagner added, "Beyond volleyball, Addison, is a dedicated student who holds a 4.14 GPA and will be studying Nursing here at MSU Northern.  I'm looking forward to coaching her and see her transitioning quickly with her Skylight teammates."
