The MSU-Northern Skylights battled but came up short Friday night, falling in three sets to Lewis-Clark State (21-25, 14-25, 21-25).
Northern totaled 31 kills on a .104 hitting percentage and came up with 49 digs in the match. Lexi Jones led the Skylight offense with 9 kills and an impressive .467 hitting percentage. Kadence Wiggins also swung efficiently, hitting .400 on the night. Setter Macee Selman recorded a double-double with 10 assists and 10 digs, while Baily Egan anchored the defense with 14 digs.
Lewis-Clark State's attack proved too much, as the Warriors racked up 43 kills on a .198 hitting percentage and posted 8 blocks. Juliauna Forgach Aguilar was dominant at the net, finishing with 20 kills at a .220 clip while also adding 9 digs. Teagan Scott dished out 19 assists and contributed 3 blocks, and Ella Stosich led LC's back row with 13 digs.
The Skylights will look to bounce back in their next match up to night at 6pm against Walla Walla University.Â
