The MSU-Northern Skylights battled through a five-set showdown to defeat RV Dickinson State 3-2 on the road in Dickinson (25-20, 19-25, 22-25, 25-19, 16-14).

Set one stayed close until Northern strung together an 8-2 run to close it out. Dickinson answered in the second with a late surge of their own to even the match. The Blue Hawks took another tight battle in the third, but the Skylights rallied in set four, finishing with another 8-2 run to force a decisive fifth.

Dickinson jumped ahead 9-4 in the final frame, but Northern stormed back with a 5-0 run to stay within one. Facing match point, the Skylights refused to fold, winning the last four rallies to secure the comeback victory.

Northern finished with 56 kills on a .205 hitting percentage, 16 blocks, 51 assists, and 87 digs. Macee Selman turned in a standout performance with 15 kills (.414), 24 assists, and 10 digs. Kadence Wiggins added 10 kills, while Bailey Egan anchored the back row with 24 digs. Lexi Jones was a force at the net with nine blocks.

Dickinson State tallied 59 kills and nine aces, led by Aubrey Allison with 20 kills and 14 digs. Setter Rylee Kogoishak posted 43 assists and 15 digs, while Ashtyn Egan had a team-high 22 digs.

With the win, the Skylights move to 6-6 overall and 4-2 in conference play.
