(RV) Carroll College Edges (RV) Skylights 68–63

In a tightly contested Frontier Conference matchup, (RV) Carroll College pulled out a 68–63 road victory over (RV) Northern Skylights on Friday evening. The fighting Saints battled back from an early deficit and used balanced scoring and efficiency in the paint and at the free-throw line to secure the win in Havre.

The Skylights jumped out to an early advantage, outscoring Carroll in the first quarter 18–13 behind aggressive interior play and timely shooting. However, Carroll responded in the second quarter with improved defensive intensity and better ball movement, trimming the halftime deficit and setting the stage for a competitive second half.

In the third quarter, Carroll began to seize control, outscoring the home team 19–14. Guard Kenzie Allen led the offensive charge for Carroll, exploding for 24 points on a night where she set the tone with her scoring and composure under pressure. Her ability to knock down shots from mid-range and get to the free-throw line kept Carroll within striking distance throughout.

Supporting Allen were key contributions from Meagan Karstetter and Jillian Kanduch, who scored 10 points apiece and provided physical play on the boards. Carroll's shooters hit clutch free throws in the final minutes, maintaining a slim but crucial lead.

The Skylights showcased a balanced attack with four players scoring in double figures. Lauren Gunn and Becky Melcher led the team with 13 points each. Ciera Agasiva each added 11 points, respectively, while Canzas HisBadHorse contributed a strong all-around effort with 11 points and 7 rebounds.

Despite shooting a solid 45.8 percent from the field and 37.5 percent from three, Northern was hampered by turnovers at critical moments and couldn't quite overcome Carroll's late defensive stands. The Saints finished the night with 13 of 15 free throws made and a combined team effort that lifted them to the victory.

The Skylights drop to 12-5 overall and 8-4 in Conference. The Skylights play tomorrow against No. 18 Rocky Mountain College at 5pm.
