Montana State University-Northern put together a strong stretch in the middle weights to claim a 30–19 victory in the dual.
Dickinson State opened the dual at 125 pounds with a forfeit victory to take an early 6–0 lead. The Blue Hawks followed with another win at 133 pounds, as Charlie Irwin edged Kolten Powers of MSU-Northern by a 10–7 decision to extend the lead to 9–0.
The momentum shifted at 141 pounds when Caleb Morales delivered a big response for the Lights, pinning Marcus Mireles at the 6:42 mark. Dickinson State answered back at 149, where Hunter Forshee-Kurtz earned a 17–8 major decision over Jackson Syron to regain control of the dual.
Northern then went on an impressive run through the heart of the lineup. At 157 pounds, Ryan Graves secured a fall over Ian Mehrens at 4:24. Justin Windauer followed with another pin at 165, stopping Jesse Van Baalen at 5:15. The surge continued at 174, where Orion Thivierge needed just 25 seconds to record a fall over Bradlee Shaw, swinging the team score in Northern's favor.
Dickinson State responded down the stretch with back-to-back decisions. Jackson King claimed a 9–5 decision over Nathan Andrina at 184 pounds, and Donivan Giangregorio added an 11–4 decision against Cade Gubler at 197 to regain the lead.
The dual concluded in emphatic fashion at heavyweight, as Shane Mattson capped the night with a quick pin over Connor Bleymeyer in just 15 seconds, adding six more points for the Lights.
