Embry-Riddle (Ariz.) used a dominant performance across the lineup to earn a 38–12 victory over Montana State University-Northern wrestling dual on Saturday.
The Eagles jumped out to an early lead and never looked back, winning eight of the ten bouts, including four by fall and one by technical fall.
Embry-Riddle opened the dual with a forfeit win at 125 pounds, before Landon Smith extended the advantage with a convincing 10-3 decision over Kolten Powers at 133. Momentum continued at 141, where Adam Stanley secured a fall at 2:26, followed by a dominant 18-1 technical fall from Christian Lopez at 149 to give the Eagles a commanding lead.
The Lights responded with back-to-back falls midway through the dual. At 157 pounds, Ryan Graves pinned Sam Humphrey in 2:53, and Justin Windauer followed with another fall at 165, stopping Jayden Luttrell at 3:46 to put the Skylights on the board.
Embry-Riddle answered once again at 174, as Jacob Briggs earned a fall over Diego Manzo at 4:24. A second forfeit at 184 added to the Eagles' total, before Embry-Riddle closed the night strong with decision victories at 197 and 285. Trenton Blomquist posted a 12-6 decision over Cade Gubler, while Kenneth Copley sealed the dual with a 4-1 decision over Shane Mattson.
