Montana State University-Northern turned in a solid distance-focused performance at the meet, with several Lights and Skylights athletes posting competitive finishes and personal bests.
On the men's side, James Stensland-Plymale led the way in the 10,000 meters, placing ninth overall with a time of 34:34.60. His effort stood out as the top finish for the Lights in the meet, competing in a deep field of runners.
The Skylights were active in both the 1500 meters and 5000 meters, showing depth in the distance events. In the 1500 meters, Deserae Toombs finished eighth with a time of 5:23.38. She was followed by Elizabeth DeVries in 11th (5:40.85) and Emerson Kinsella in 12th (5:46.24).
In the 5000 meters, Emerson Kinsella paced MSU-Northern with an 11th-place finish, clocking in at 21:00.00. Deserae Toombs added a 12th-place result (21:20.95), while Elizabeth DeVries rounded out the group in 14th with a time of 22:06.21.
Overall, MSU-Northern's performances were highlighted by strong efforts in the distance events, with multiple athletes gaining valuable experience and posting season and personal best marks as the outdoor season continues.
