The Montana State-Northern Lights and Skylights turned in a solid showing in the distance events, highlighted by multiple personal bests and strong finishes on both the men's and women's sides.
For the Lights, James Stensland-Plymale led the way with a pair of competitive races. He recorded a personal best in the 1500 meters, finishing 12th in 4:13.48, and followed that with another personal-best performance in the 5000 meters, placing 8th in 16:25.08 to earn a top-10 finish.
On the women's side, the Skylights distance group continued to show improvement throughout the meet. Elizabeth DeVries posted a personal best in the 800 meters, finishing 14th in 2:46.63, and also competed in the 1500 meters, where she placed 13th in 6:01.70.
In the 1500 meters,Emerson Kinsella led Northern with a 10th-place finish in 5:31.51 (PB), followed closely by Deserae Toombs, who placed 11th in 5:33.64.
The Skylights had their strongest event in the 5000 meters, where Kinsella delivered a standout performance, finishing 2nd overall in 20:36.21 (PB). Toombs added another podium finish for Northern, placing 3rd in 21:02.14.
