Lights Back to .500 with Conference Loss

Box Score Helena, MT - 2/03/2018

Quick Recap:

The Lights scored the game's first four points Saturday night, but 28% shooting from the field extinguished any hope for a win in their 43-78 loss at Carroll College. Senior forward Ryan Reeves led the Lights in scoring with 12 points on 5-9 from the field including 2-2 from the line. He added three more blocks to his school record shot-block total and now has 86 on the year. No other Light scored in double figures on the night. The next highest scorer was Gabe Porter with nine points, going 3-9 from three point range. Justin Dunsmore led the Lights in rebounding with five total, and Charles Porter was the Lights' assists leader with three. With 17:19 remaining in the game, an assist to Reeves from guard Devin Bray led to a two point bucket in the paint that would cut the deficit to eight points (31-39), but the rest was all Carroll as they finished the night on a 39 to 12 scoring run.

Stat of the Game: The Lights shot 6-24 for 22% from downtown in the game.

The Lights Right Now: Back to a .500 in-conference record go the Lights at 6-6.

Up Next for the Lights: The Lights travel with the Skylights to Dillon this Thursday to take on the Bulldogs of Montana Western.  The men's game is set to tip off at 7:30 in the Straugh Gymnasium.
