Hannah Haslem commits to Skylights Cross Country for Fall 2021

Hannah Haslem, a senior at Havre High School, has signed her letter of intent to join the women's cross-country team at MSU-Northern in the fall of 2021.  Hannah's varsity running tenure began in Colstrip where, as a freshman, she competed on the varsity cross country team and won the district 3B 3200m race in track. Since moving to Havre, Hannah has continued to compete at the varsity level in cross country and distance track. Hannah maintains a perfect 4.0 GPA and is a member of the National Honor Society, Art Club and Spanish Club.  Hannah plans to leverage her strong math and art aptitudes as she pursues a career in interior architecture.  To that end, she plans to study design and drafting at Northern.

Hannah is most looking forward to experiencing collegiate competition and says that her goal the fall season is to be consistently under 21 minutes in the pre-qualifying 5K races. "Based on what I've seen, I'm confident that she can get into the 19's next fall and make a run at all-conference as a freshman" Spangler said.  Ultimately, Hannah would really like to beat her Mom's collegiate PR of 18:20. Spangler added, "I'm very excited to have Hannah on the team next year.  She fits our skylight tradition of academic commitment and has strong athletic potential". Hannah is the daughter of Pax Haslem and Kim Noah.
