In her senior year, she set a school record by making eight three-point shots in a single game. Neva excelled as both a student and athlete, earning All-State honors in multiple sports and academic awards for her 3.5 GPA.

"Neva has had an outstanding high school career and has been a key leader in the program." states Lesley Zellmer, Chinook High School Cross Country Coach. Lindsay shared the quote by Angela Duckworth that helps sums up her daughter, "Grit is that extra something that separates the most successful people from the rest. It is the passion, perseverance, and stamina that we must channel to stick to our dreams and complete our mission.

Neva plans to major in Integrated Health Science with an interest in becoming an ultrasound technician. When asked why she chose Northern, she replied, "I really enjoy the people on my future team. And it is keeping me close to my family."  Coach Callahan states "We look forward to her contribution to the team and watching her grow here at Northern!"
