Skylights Volleyball Sign Dragovic

Montana State University Northern volleyball coach Jerry Wagner has announced the signing of Laramie County CC standout Anastasija Dragovic to join the Skylight program next fall. Anastasija is from Belgrade, Serbia. Dragovic is a 6-4 middle blocker, who had 40 kills, 4 solo blocks, and 32 assisted blocks on the season.

"I'm beyond excited Anastasija has chosen to continue her volleyball career here at MSUN" said Coach Wagner. "She possesses a great amount of maturity, drive and determination; all things that will help take our program in the direction we want to go."

Coach Wagner added "Ana understands and appreciates true teamwork and while watching our Skylights compete this year, she indicated strongly she wanted to be part of that type of program. She recognized what outstanding team energy these girls have, and it was a big part of her decision to join the program."

"Ana has a positive attitude, and possesses a great amount of passion. She will be a great teammate on and off the court because she is willing to put in the time and hard work it requires to be successful in both areas."

Jerry added "Ana has tremendous family support and was brought up in a big sports family."

Anastasija is the daughter of Tijomir and Gordana Dragovic. She also has four older sisters and one brother (Jelena, Nevena, Milena, Nada, and Balsa). Anastasija said "Both of my parents and all of my siblings played on the intercollegiate and professional levels. My mother Gordana played basketball for the National Team of Former Yugoslavia and she was one of the best players. My father Tihomir also was a very good basketball player. He had played for the National Team of Montenegro and afterward became a very good basketball coach. He made amazing results on the International level. All of my four sisters played college volleyball and one brother played college basketball in the US. I am the sixth kid in the Dragovic family."

Jelena graduated from California Baptist University in 2014.
Nevena graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in 2014.
Milena graduated from Tulane University in 2014.
Nada graduated from California State University- Northridge in 2019.
Balsa graduated from Harvard University in 2019.

"I believe Ana will add greatly to our team chemistry and program as we continue to make forward strides in the Frontier Conference."
