KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) has published the 2022 Daktronics NAIA Football Scholar-Athletes with over 900 student-athletes honored. Eastern Oregon edges out Carroll (Mont.) and Morningside (Iowa) for the most recognition by one program. The Mountaineers sport 30 scholar-athletes followed closely by 28 for the Saints and 27 by the Mustangs.
This Fall, the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete programs recognizes football players from 89 institutions. In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport and have attended one full year at said institution.
The MSU-Northern Football team had four student-athletes to receive this honor. Colter Syzmoniak,

Colter Szymoniak is majoring in Criminal Justice. Sophomore
Jesse Lee is majoring in Electrical Technology. Junior
Noah Nitz is majoring in Biology and Science Education. 5
th Year Senior
Spencer Kolody is majoring in Agriculture and Diesel Technology.
