Lights Land Harlem High School Standout

MSU-Northern Lights Basketball has announced the signing of Harlem, Montana guard, RJ Ramone. The 6-foot-2 combo guard helped lead the Wildcats to the State Championship game this past season.  A two-time All-State selection, he averaged 24.9 points per game and seven rebounds per game this year.  RJ played both point-guard and off-guard positions for the Wildcats, and had many memorable games in his career. His 24 points effort in the State Semi-Final contest helped seal the win over then-#1 Lodge Grass High School.  They finished runners-up to Three Forks High School, who pulled away 72-57.  RJ also put forth a stellar shooting performance in December, pouring in a record 52 points in a close 71-64 victory over Poplar, Montana.

"RJ is a great person, a wonderful teammate, and a remarkable student" said coach Huse. "In talking with his coaches and watching him play, it has always been noted what a good feel for the game and basketball IQ he has. We are thrilled to have him on board rounding out our redshirt class.  He possesses a very solid combination of high character level, strong shooting ability, and excellent court awareness.  We are excited to have him on board and watching his development within the college game."

The Lights are coming off another good season, winning 19 games and earning a home playoff game vs Rocky Mountain College. After advancing, their season came to an end in a close loss at Carroll College. They return a great deal of experience from the 2021-22 team, after graduating their two exceptional seniors.
