Skylights Sign Former Camas High School Star

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Katelynn Forner to join the program this fall.  Forner, a 5-foot-6 guard, is originally from Camas, Washington.

Forner started her career at Lower Columbia College in Longview, Washington.  As a freshman, she started in 25 of 26 games and helped lead the Red Devils to a Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) title with a 26-1 overall record.  As a sophomore, she averaged 9.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, 2.5 steals, and 3.3 assists per game.  The Red Devils advanced to the round of 16 at the NWAC Championships.

In 2022-2023, she played at Vancouver Island University in British Columbia.  She started 10 games and helped lead the Mariners to a 20-4 overall record.  She averaged 4 points, 4 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game.

Mouat said, "We are really excited that Katelynn will finish her career in a Skylight uniform.  She is a very hard-nosed player who does a little bit of everything, and the stat sheet doesn't always reflect what she brings to a team.  She is the first one to take a charge and hit the floor for a loose ball and she makes her teammates better.  We really liked her toughness. Plus, she has a great personality and will be a really good fit in our program."
