Montana State University-Northern Head Cross Country Coach Deborah Callahan has announced the signing of James Stensland-Plymale from Absarokee Montana to join the cross country and distance track program in the fall.

"I'm very excited that James is joining our team" said Coach Callahan. "He comes with a great work ethic, eagerness to improve and is focused on his next level of running." We look forward to watching him with us at Northern Cross Country and Track programs"

Stensland-Plymale took second place at state and was a 3X All-State qualifier for Cross-Country runner at Columbus High School. He runs a 5K in 16:27.

"I've coached James through middle school and now in high school" said his high school coach Crago. "He is born to run and his potential is endless."

James is the son of Kent and Anna Plymale. He plans on studying Automotive Technology and Diesel Technology at MSU-Northern.

"He so wanted to run in college and now has that opportunity to for Northern" said James. "I have goals to achieve over the next four years!"
