Montana State University-Northern head rodeo coach Doug Kallenberger has announced the signing of rodeo standout Kyla Burchard to join the Skylights program next year.
Burchard is 5-foot-2 barrel racer, goat tier, breakaway roping and a team roper from Havre, Montana. She attended school at Havre High, where she was a state qualifier all four years of competition.
Kyla not only was a rodeo standout; she was a high school swimmer where she was All-State each year she competed. She not only got it done on the dirt, but she held a 3.8 grade point average and was on the Honor Roll for all four years of high school.
While Burchard is here, she will be majoring in business administration and minoring in accounting. Kyla is the daughter of Travis and Michelle Burchard.
When asked why she chose Northern he replied "I chose MSUN because it is a great opportunity to stay local and be part of an amazing school and team."
