Rodeo Signs Havre Standout Cassandra Gibson

Montana State University-Northern head rodeo coach Doug Kallenberger has announced the signing of rodeo standout Cassandra Gibson to join the Skylights program next year.

Gibson is 5-foot-1 All Around Cowgirl from Havre, Montana. She attended school at Havre High, where she was a State Champion her junior year. She was also short go qualifier (top 16) in Team Roping, and Goat Tying the past three years. Last year, she competed at the National High school Finals in Goat Tying. This year Gibson is sitting at number two going into spring season for 2025.

Cassandra is also part of the Montana National Rodeo Team and represented Montana at Nationals in Rocky Springs Wyoming.

While Gibson is here, she will be majoring in Bachelors in Science and Nursing. Cassandra is the daughter of Micah and Karen Gibson.  Micah came to MSUN and was part of the Rodeo and Wrestling team.

When asked why she chose Northern he replied "I chose MSUN because I want to represent my home town, and have the support of this amazing community. MSUN also has an excellent women's rodeo team that I am excited to be a part of. I have lived here my whole life and it means a lot to me to be able to continue my education surrounded by family and friends."
