Story of the Game:
The No. 11 MSU-Northern Skylights beat Benedictine Mesa 85-55 in the Phoenix Frontier Challenge on December 20 in Phoenix, Arizona. In the first half, the Skylights outscored Benedictine Mesa 48-26. The second half the Skylights never gave up the lead, as they extended to 30 to end the game.
 
Individual Stats:
Everyone on the team scored points. The Skylights were led by Peyton Kehr, who had 16 points going 7-11 from the field. Allix Goldhahn added 15 points going 5-8 from the field. Kenya Lorton added 14 points, as Tiara Gilham had 13. Hailey Nicholson had a double-double with 10 points and 15 rebounds.   
 
The Red Hawks were led by McKenzie Alton, who had 18 points on the night. Sarah Kurthaupt added 13 points and four rebounds.  
 
Stats of the Game:
The MSU-Northern Skylights shot a field goal percentage of 55.6, 62 percent from the arc, and 90 percent from the free throw line.
 
The Red Hawks shot 28 percentage from the field, 20 percent from the 3-point line, and 68 percent from the free throw.
 
The Skylights so Far:
The Skylights are 11-1 in the overall season and 2-0 in conference play.
 
Up Next:
Northern will have a couple days off for Christmas break. Skylights will be back in action on December 28 and 29 against University of Alberta-Augustana at 12 p.m.
