The MSU-Northern Rodeo team just finished their first rodeo of the season.
The Lights took fourth on day one at the Northwest College Rodeo with 176 points. They took third place on day two with 245 points.
In their first rodeo,
Colter Froshaug tied seven in steer wrestling with a 8.5 seconds.
Tobin Cummins and
Talan Cummins took fourth place in team roping with a time of 7.9.
On day two, Kellan Statham took fifth in Tie Down roping with a time of 11.9.
Preston Bird and
Chance Three Irons took fourth place in team roping with a time of 8.1.
The Skylights took first on day one at the Northwest College Rodeo with 233 points. They took fourth place on day two with 195.33 points.
On day one at the rodeo,
Jill Marcenko took second in the all-Around with a score of 72.83. Marcenko tied for seventh in the breakaway, and fifth in goat tying. Brittney Coz took first in barrel racing with a time of 17.51.
Harley Buchberger wasn't far behind with a time of 17.73 taking fourth. There was a three-way tie in goat tying taking eighth place
Kyla Burchard.
In the second rodeo, Brittney Coz took first in barrel racing again with a time of 17.31. There was another three-way tie in goat tying taking fifth place
