The Montana State University Northern Lights and Skylights turned in a solid performance, highlighted by a women's team championship and several strong individual efforts across the board.
On the team side, the
Skylights captured first place with 360 points, showcasing depth and consistency in multiple events. The
Lights placed third overall with 390 points in a competitive men's field.
Individually,
Brier Selvidge led the way for the Lights in the men's all-around, finishing seventh with 90 points. Selvidge also contributed across multiple events, placing fourth in tie-down roping (25.7), tying for seventh in steer wrestling, and adding points in team roping.
In team roping,
Talan Cummins and
Clayton Three Irons paired up for a strong showing, finishing second in both the header and heeler standings with a time of 21.7.
On the women's side,
Georgia Orahood delivered an outstanding performance, winning the women's all-around title with 210 points. Orahood also claimed the goat tying title with a time of 12.8 and added points in breakaway roping.
The Skylights dominated barrel racing, taking the top two spots.
Cayda Dodginghorse won the event with a time of 26.87, followed closely by
Aislinn Handy in second at 27.00.
In breakaway roping,
Brooklin Baukol tied for first with a 5.0 run, while Orahood added another scoring run.
Olivia Parsonage also contributed with a top-eight finish.
Rounding out the Skylights' effort,
Tabitha Vermulm secured a sixth-place finish in goat tying.
Overall, Montana State University Northern showed strong depth on both the men's and women's sides, with the Skylights leading the way with a team title and multiple individual event wins.
