Freshman saddle bronc rider Wesley Cox joins the Lights from Big Sandy, Montana, bringing a strong work ethic and rodeo roots to Montana State University-Northern.

Cox, who stands 5-foot-11, specializes in saddle bronc riding. A graduate of Big Sandy High School, he was a four-year varsity athlete and also competed in football and wrestling during his prep career.

Choosing MSU-Northern for its respected agriculture program, Cox is pursuing a degree in Agricultural Technology. He comes from a family with ties to the university, as his mother, Keri Cox, attended and graduated in 1997.

As a freshman, Cox looks to develop his skills in the arena and contribute to the continued success of the Lights rodeo program.
