The MSU-Northern rodeo team wrapped up its fall schedule this past weekend at the Montana Western Rodeo, where both the Lights and Skylights earned third-place team finishes. The Lights scored 350 points, while the Skylights tallied 250.
On the women's side, Brooklin Baukol had a standout performance, placing fourth in the all-around with 110 points. She also finished seventh in barrel racing (35.00) and fifth in breakaway roping (3.1). Cayda Dodginghorse placed second in barrel racing (34.69), while Kenzie Kellenberger took eighth in breakaway roping (3.5). Kendra Statham earned seventh in goat tying (15.4). In team roping, Tabitha Vermulm placed eighth as a header (10.8), while Cassandra Gibson tied for second as a heeler (33.2).
For the men, the Lights were led by Talan Cummins, who captured first place as a team roping header (17.3). Clayton Three Irons also earned first in team roping as a heeler (17.3), while Brier Selvidge finished eighth as a heeler (10.8).
This marks the final rodeo of the fall for MSU-Northern. The Lights and Skylights will return to competition in the spring season.
