Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Josieraye Running Wolf, a 5-9 guard from Mountain Range High School in Westminster, Colorado.

Running Wolf is currently averaging 14.3 points, 5.5 rebounds, 1.6 assists, and 2.9 steals per game for Mountain Range, who plays in Colorado's 6A classification, the largest in the state.  She was the 2022-23 Mountain Range Player of the Year and an honorable mention all-conference selection.

For her career, Running Wolf has scored 747 points and collected 438 rebounds.  She has also totaled 97 assists, 136 steals, and 102 blocked shots.

Mouat said, "We are excited to have Josieraye on board.  She had a good visit here and our players really enjoyed her.  She's had a good career at Mountain Range and has the potential to be a very good player in the Frontier Conference.  Beyond that, she is a good student and person of high character.  We are looking forward to having her in our program and on campus."

Running Wolf carries a 3.3 grade point average and plans on majoring in education at MSU-Northern.  She is the daughter of Raelene Whiteshield and Josh Running Wolf.
