Skylights Sign Yakima Forward

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Madisen King to join the Skylight program in the fall.  King, a 5'10" forward, recently completed her first season at Yakima Valley College.

As a freshman, King started in 26 of 27 games.  She averaged 13.4 points and 4.8 rebounds per game.  She had single-game highs of 28 points, 12 rebounds, and 5 steals.

Mouat said, "We are excited about Madisen.  She had a great high school career and put up good numbers at Yakima.  She can really run the floor and plays much bigger than she is.  She is also really savvy around the rim.  We look forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform."

King graduated with honors in 2024 from Salem Hills High School in Salem Hills, Utah.  There, she earned four varsity letters, was a three-year starter, and two-year captain.  She earned Second Team All-Valley honors, scoring over 700 career points, and recorded a triple-double during her career.

Madisen is the daughter of Bill and Jenni King.
