Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach
Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Kaitlyn Hammett to join the Skylight program next fall. Hammett, a 5-foot-6 guard from Missoula Sentinel High School, recently finished her senior season for the Spartans.
Mouat said, "Kaitlyn is a great addition to our program. She's got a big upside and is very athletic. Beyond that, she's a quality person who will be a great fit in our program and university. We are looking forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform."
This season, Hammett averaged 7.7 points, 3.9 rebounds, 2.9 assists per game. She connected on twenty, three-point field goals on the season.
Hammett has earned 10 letters at Missoula Sentinel participating in golf, basketball, track and field, and cross country. On the basketball floor, she is a two-time Honorable Mention All-Conference selection.
Kaitlyn is the daughter of Diego and Melissa Hammett. She carries a 3.0 grade point average and plans on majoring in Integrated Health Science at MSU-Northern.
