Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach
Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Ciera Tugade-Agasiva to join the Skylight program in the fall. Tugade-Agasiva, a 5-foot-6 guard, recently finished a two-year career at Peninsula College in Port Angeles, Washington.
This season, Tugade-Agasiva averaged 12.3 points per game while shooting 42 percent from the field and 32 percent from the 3-point line. As a freshman, she averaged 10.5 points per game, shooting 34 percent from the 3-point line, 77 percent from the free throw line, and 40 percent from the field. In both her freshman and sophomore campaigns, Tugade-Agasiva was named First Team All-North Region in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC). She recorded single-season highs of 25 points, 10 rebound, 7 steals, and 8 assists.
Mouat said, "Ciera brings a lot to our program. She is extremely strong. We love her ability to get to the rim. She also shoots it well from the three-point line and in traffic. She is coming from a top-tier team in the NWAC at Peninsula and has had a ton of success in her first two seasons. We are very excited about her future in a Skylight uniform. Beyond that she is a great student and teammate who will bring a lot to Northern."
This season, Peninsula went 24-3 and advanced to the final four of the NWAC Tournament. During her two seasons, Tugade-Agasiva helped the Pirates to an overall record of 46-6. She was also honored with the 2024-2025 Art Feiro Award, given to an athlete at Peninsula College who exemplify leadership, athleticism, academics and citizenship.
Tugade-Agasiva is a 2023 graduate of Maryknoll School in Honolulu, Hawaii. She carries a 3.79 grade point average and plans on majoring in nursing at MSU-Northern. She is the daughter of Jerryl and Michael Tugade-Agasiva.
