SKYLIGHTS INK CORA MATT FROM ST. IGNATIUS

Montana State University-Northern women's basketball coach Chris Mouat has announced the signing of Cora Matt to join the Skylight program next fall.  Matt is a 6-foot-0 guard/forward from St. Ignatius, Montana.

Mouat said, "We are really excited about Cora.  She has good length and can play inside and out.  We really like her ability to shoot the ball from the 3-point line and she does nice things at the basket.  We've had the opportunity to watch her play in the HIT Tournament where she really impressed us.  She has a ton of potential and we are looking forward to her progress in a Skylight uniform."

Matt is a three-time, First Team All-Conference selection for basketball and two-time Second Team All-Conference Selection for volleyball for the Bulldogs. She was also a two-time All-State Selection in basketball. Matt is currently scoring nearly 10 points per game and over 6 rebounds per game.  Mission is off to a 10-1 overall start and is 3-0 in the Western B.

Cora is the daughter of Janelle Azure-Matt and Peter Matt.  She carries a 3.5 Grade Point Average and plans on majoring in exercise science at MSU-Northern.

Mouat added, "We really enjoyed Cora on her visit here.  She fit in really well with our players and coaches.  We are definitely excited to have her."
