Max Erickson came to NMC from Great Falls with an impressive record and during his three years with the NMC swim team set a variety of records in breast stroke competition. Max competed in NAIA national events in 1967 and placed seventh in the 200-yard breast stroke and tenth in the 100-yard backstroke. He competed in the NAIA nationals in Buffalo, New York, and again in St. Cloud, Minnesota. Erickson went on to coach both high school and age group swimming and led both girls and boys high school swim teams to state championships. He currently holds the title of Vice President with a local investment firm.
